DESALTER ADDITIVE

PRODUCT APPLICATION

BIOADD -TECH DESALTING ADDITIVE IS A HYDROCARBON-BASED MIXTURE THAT IS ADDED DIRECTLY TO THE CRUDE OIL,
MIXED WELL, AND THEN KEPT RESTING FOR 2 TO 4 HOURS. THE SALTS WILL BE DISSOLVED IN THE MIXTURE, AND WITHOUT
ANY WASHING OR WATER SEPARATION, THE SALT CONTENTS WILL BE REDUCED BY NO LESS THAN 70%. FORSTEK
DESALTING ADDITIVE IS CONSIDERED A CORROSION INHIBITOR AND AN EFFECTIVE WAY TO REDUCE SALTS

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE

THE AVERAGE RECOMMENDED DOSAGE TO BE USED RANGES BETWEEN 0.5%-5%, DEPENDING ON THE TREATED MIXTURE
SALT PERCENTAGE AND PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES. THE FORSTEK TECHNICAL TEAM CAN ADVISE THE
PROPER DOSAGE QUANTITY.
